Watch the explosive new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer:
Here we see a lot of what we can expect from the Breath of the Wild sequel.:
On Wednesday night, Nintendo showed more of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will be released on May 12 this year. You can watch the trailer for the Breath of the Wild sequel above.
Based on the trailer, it seems like protagonist Link will be getting some new skills to root with this time around. Among other things, we see him speeding around Hyrule’s grassy lawns in a kind of homemade(?) car. And it also looks like the Red Blood Moon – which was the source of monsters in the first game – will have a bit more of an impact on the story this time around.
-Up in the clouds
In a press release sent out last year, Nintendo told a little more about the game:
In addition to Hyrule’s vast landscape, this latest entry in The Legend of Zelda series will take you up into the clouds and an expanded world that goes beyond it, says Nintendo
Regarding why we are keeping the name, you will just have to wait and see because Zelda names are of course quite important. Those subtitles are starting to give little hints of what might be coming, Nintendo said in 2021.
One of the things we know about the game so far is that the world will be expanded to include floating islands in the clouds. In addition, Link will get a number of new tools to handle, including a flamethrower, and something that allows him to pass through walls.
