The main responsibility for the development will belong to Fool’s Theory, a Polish studio that has previously been involved in the development of everything from Baldur’s Gate 3 to Divinity: Original Sin 2. The studio has employees who have worked on The Witcher series before, and the publishers will also be involved at work.

This new version of The Witcher will be developed in Unreal Engine 5, and will be made with the same tools as the next The Witcher trilogy. No further details were revealed, other than that the developers are excited to get to work and that CD Projekt Red is looking forward to remaking their first game.
