According to Sony, more than 30 VR games will be available on or just after launch day.

With just over a month to go until the launch of the PlayStation VR2, Sony has pulled out several games that will be available on the platform. During this week’s CES fair, the Japanese company confirmed that both Gran Turismo 7 and Beat Saber will be recreated in virtual reality.
The VR version of Gran Turismo 7 will be launched on the same day as PlayStation VR2 – i.e. February 22. This is given as a free update for those who already own the original version of the racing game.
That Beat Saber is joining the pack came as good news for many, but when the game will enter PlayStation VR2 is unclear. All that Sony and developer Beat Games Studio have revealed is that more information will be shared in due course, but by all accounts, it won’t be ready for the glasses’ launch.
The article continues below the Twitter message.
Sony is enticing 30 games that will be launched at the same time as or soon after PlayStation VR2. Exactly what will come when, Sony is still keeping close to its chest. What we do know is that Horizon Call of the Mountain – a spin-off to the Horizon series from Guerrilla Games – will be available on release day.
Noticeable update
The PlayStation VR2 is a significant step up from its predecessor. Among other things, the newcomer boasts an OLED screen, support for 4K HDR, up to 120 images per second, and a viewing angle of 110 degrees.
There are four cameras on the front that track your movements, and the new Sense controllers have adaptive triggers similar to the PlayStation 5 controller DualSense.
A caveat is that the headset is not compatible with the games of the previous PlayStation VR headset. The reason must be that the company wants to focus on the future instead of looking backward.
