Promising early access to those who pre-order.
Diablo IV is set to officially launch on June 6th. Until then, Blizzard is planning a round of beta testing, which will be held in March.
According to the developer, the test period is divided into two windows. 17.-19. March, everyone who has pre-ordered Diablo IV will get to try it. PC players get straight in, while those on the console must go to the game’s website to activate early access.
The following weekend, i.e. the 24th-26th. March, the doors are opened to absolutely everyone. Beta testing is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
During the test period, participants get to try both the prologue and the first act of the game. Here you can explore the Fractured Peaks area as much as you want. Blizzard has set experience level 25 as the maximum for the beta, but you are free to continue playing even after you get that far.
Diablo IV was officially unveiled during Blizzcon in 2019. The developer then promised a return to the darker roots of the series, after Diablo III was criticized for its more comic book-like style.
